Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park is a bit of a hidden gem. It is one of the few NPs that you can go to and really get away from people in the height of summer tourist season…..or so I have been told by a friend who visited most of the west coast parks in a single summer. Glacier was his favorite because of the beauty and lack of crowds.

I’ve only made one trip, very early in the season, when vast expanses of the park were closed by snow. My family couldn’t take several hikes we wanted to because recently awoken grizzly bears were on the prowl and very hungry. This is the place I need to return to many more times!
